Pedal is in superb condition and comes in original box with original paper work.  Pedal is fully functional and sounds FANTASTIC...eons over stock pedal.  This pedal does anything from turning your clean channel into a crunch/od/distortion machine to pushing your crunch/od channel over the edge.  You can dial in the tone and gain to do just about anything....smooth creamy blues, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, to early metallica and megadeth as indicated by the list of users above!!!!  Extremely versatile pedal whether you use it as a stand alone overdrive/distortion or you pull the gain down and turn the level up to add sustain and definition to your overdrive channel.  Built like a TANK, like all boss pedals, and this one has been extremely well cared for, in addition I can provide more pics up on request.

This mod takes the stock unit and both increases the bass response and the gain range and gives it a tube-like sound by using what was the small power LED for a clipping diode.  This gives the pedal a rich sound, more like what you want a distortion box to sound like.  A capacitor is added to the circuit so that some of the top end harshness the pedal usually has is now gone. All of the coupling caps are changed to expensive Panasonic metal film varieties so that the sound is as transparent as possible, allowing all of your guitar through the pedal.  Again, since the gain range has been expanded by the mods you can get both a cleaner and more distorted sound out of the pedal than in its stock configuration.  Lastly, the pedal is quieter than a stock unit.  Allows for cranked Marshall type sound without the cranked Marshall price-tag!!!
