The Elk Grove Artists “Art2Hang” program features artwork from local artists displayed at Elk Grove businesses. The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center will continue “KIDS Fun With Art” throughout the summer at the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center at 9080 Elk Grove Boulevard in Old Town Elk Grove for children ages 6-12 (maximum 12 students). There will be new subject matter each session with a variety of art media. They will work with colored pencils, watercolor and pastel using basic drawing techniques. Subject matter can include castles, animals, floral, landscapes and cartooning. Sessions will be held Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on June 22 and 23. No classes on June 29 and June 30. There will be four sessions in July starting on July 6 and 7 and five sessions in August, starting August 3 and 4. Fee for each session $55 includes all materials. Instructor, award-winning artist Marie Crockett teaches art to both children and adults.
