Happy Flag Day

Every day is a good day to celebrate our flag, but today marks the of anniversary of when the red, white and blue flag of the United States of America was officially adopted during the Second Continental Congress in 1777. The colors of our flag have great significance and symbolism. White represents the purity and innocence of our nation, red represents hardiness and valor and blue represents vigilance, perseverance and justice, all characteristics alive and well in America today.  Heritage has a good piece on the anniversary today:

A few weeks ago at Louisiana State University, a small group of agitated students attempted to burn a U.S. flag in protest for some policy or other that they believed warranted the symbolic destruction of their country. Before they could get going, however, the protest was interrupted by other students who challenged them. A growing crowd ringed around the would-be flag burners, who became the sad spectacle of their unsuccessful demonstration. The crowd roared, “USA, USA, USA, USA” and a few threw water balloons; the protesters were soon escorted away for their own safety by security officers. It really infuriates me when supposedly conservative people, including many well known talk show hosts bow down to the flag. From where I sit the flag is nothing more than a symbol of a government that over the last 50 odd years has become my mortal enemy. If you are a conservative hard working person and not part of a privileged group the flag no more represents you than a piece of used toilet paper. What country and what groups does the flag represent? It is the country of the aforementioned special, privileged groups; the black, the Hispanic, the private sector union employee, the public sector union parasite including over pampered, overpaid, over perked, over pensioned greedy ungrateful cops and teachers, the homosexual, the Muslim, the mostly white trash of the entertainment industry, the ACLA, the Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association, the corrupt, cowardly politicians (of both parties), the Communist “education” establishment, the pervert, the drug addict, the criminal, the illegal invader, the deadbeat who can’t pay the mortgage he could not afford, et al; everyone but white, nonaffiliated Christian people that break their butts every day to earn an honest living. We are the real heroes that must bow down and support the 50% plus of the population that belongs on my curb in a garbage can. Think about it boys and girls. Enjoy watching the privileged ones get everything you can’t and then write the tax check to pay for their goodies. Sarah Palin is the man of the hour at this time when the enemies are within our system. She is a mother, and in times of crisis mothers know best. She can run for President with Governor Rick Perry as her running mate. This will be good for God and Country. In case the governor is not available, Michelle Bachmann can be Sarah's running mate. This will fulfill the prediction of President Reagan that when the proper time comes for a woman to be President she must be Republican. In case Sarah Palin does not want to run, Perry-Bachmann may do. All the GOP candidates are God-fearing and tower over all the DemocRATS. They can help Sarah by serving in the Cabinet or, in the case of Michelle Bachmann, as Attorney General. West who is not a candidate is perfect for the position of Secretary of State and Cain should be in business and finance. Newt Gingrich will make the best Press Secretary and Pat Buchanan should be asked to serve the government in advisory capacity on matters pertaining to securing our borders once and for all. We need Governor Perry to bring back God to American consciousness. In God we trust! God bless America! The second stanza of the Star Spangled Banner should be restored because God is mentioned there. The remaining stanzas of the Battle Hymn of the Republic and America the Beautiful also spark with direct references to God our Creator and they must be restored and sung should the GOP retake the White House for God's people. We Americans are indeed exceptional because we believe in God. Enough of leaders who are ungodly and use God's name to only exploit His people.
